For the first time, the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has not urged the people to partitipate in the election. But only threatened to target the Congress accusing the ruling party of splitting the outfit. The overground cadres of ULFA have not exercise their franchise in the Assam Assembly polls. The outfit has made it simple and clear that they had already announced that it would maintain a neutral stand.
The overground rebels want the people to fulfil their responsibilities.
On the other hand, KLNLF insurgnts have participated in the polling process by casting their vote in Karbi Anglong district. Talking to assamtimes polling squad after casting his votes, Karbi Longri National Liberation Front chairman P Dili said that 41 of his cadres in two designate d camps exercised their franchise for the first time in 15 years in the Assam Assembly elections.
