The 25th Assam Riffle and police apprehended one Lethao Lienthang (35) suspected to be the town commander of Kuki Liberation Army alongwith one China-made grenade from Songpijang near Haflong on Thursday.

Grenade recovered at Haflong

Haflong police recovered a live grenade (No.36) from a flower pot at the residence of one Peter Sumer, Forest range Officer located near Ram Krishna Mission, Haflong on Saturday morning.It is learnt that on Friday night at about 9 pm two unidentified boys came in search of Sumer but as he was not at home, wife of Sumer told them to come to the office next day if they have any works with Peter Sumer.
