The shocking accident took place in the afternoon at Bhagawatipara where a women died on the spot. Four others succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. The deceased were identified as Amulya Kalita, Ratan Kalita, Prafulla Mahanta, Putul Kumari and Damayanti Sarma. Five others injured in the accident have been undergoing treatment at the hospital. On the other hand, local residents in large number came out and rushed the injured to the hospital while some of them set on fire the dumper. Policemen rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Later district administration officials visited the injured people in the hospital and assessed the extent of damage in the accident.
