Manipur rights activist Irom Sharmila said that peace would come to the restive north eastern state through political effort. In her address at a function in Delhi University, she said that if voted to power she would spare no pain to restore peace to the north eastern region where the draconian Act like the Arms Forces Special Powers Act would have no place. “I broke my fast to politically fight for the people.
