Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board spread the spirit and the message of the day by distributing the tri-colours among citizens in Guwahati on the 67th Independence Day, August 15. Chairperson of Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board Juri Sarmah Bordoloi flagged off the campaign at Big Bazar, Bhangagarh by distributing national flags to the shoppers on the eve of the Independent Day on August 14. Flags were also distributed at Pantaloon, Dona Planet and NRL Petrol Pump near Zoo. Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board appealed every citizen to encourage and promote hand woven products developed in village industries.
