AGP suspends Hazarika

The Opposition Asom Gana Parishad has suspended Padma Hazarika for 6 years alleging his intentional mistake in the voting in the Rajya Sabha polls.

The decision was taken at the party’s steering committee meeting after the announcement of the poll results.

Senior party leaders agreed that the mistake was intentional which was why, his vote was cancelled giving a big blow to the prospect of the Opposition consensus candidate Haidor Hussain.
