Bullet ridden trader dead

The businessman who was shot at by miscreants in Sonari succumbed to his injuries at a private nursing home hours after he was rushed to it in Dibrugarh on Friday.

Identified as Golap Lunawat, the local trader in Sonari breathed his last at 8-30 in the evening two hours after he was rushed to the Aditya Hospital.

He sustained serious injuries at his womb when two motorcycle born youths pumped several rounds of bullets at him in front of the Sonari College in the evening.

Lunawat fell on the spot and the miscreants managed to flee from the spot immediately after the firing.
