Nazira names Under-16 squad for R.G. Baruah Cricket Tournament
Juneid Rahman to lead the team in the state-level tournament at Nagaon, with Rafik Ali appointed as coach.
NAZIRA, July 11, 2026 — The Nazira District Sports Association (NDSA) has announced its squad for the upcoming Under-16 R.G. Baruah Cricket Tournament, which is scheduled to be held in Nagaon.
The team will be led by Juneid Rahman, while Karif Ahmed has been named as the wicketkeeper.
The squad comprises Hirak Jyoti Deka, Lakhya Sharma, Vishal Gogoi, Rishiraj Gogoi, Akash Deep Rajkonwar, Siyankur Borgohain, Bhargabjit Gogoi, Abinash Dutta, Rituraj Borgohain, Abhilash Bordoloi, Shubham Bairagi, Nilimoy Gogoi and Sadikul Haque.
Rafik Ali has been appointed as the team's coach.
Officials of the association expressed confidence in the young side, stating that the tournament will provide an important platform for emerging cricketers from across Assam to showcase their talent.
