Nazira students win gold, silver at Vidya Bharati North-East martial arts meet

NAZIRA, July 2, 2026 — Students of Nazira Sankardev Vidya Niketan have brought laurels to their school and the Nazira region by winning medals at the Vidya Bharati North-East Zone Taekwondo, Karate and Wushu Competition.

The two-day competition was held on July 1 and 2 at Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Borhat, Borpathar, bringing together participants from across the North-East region.

Representing Nazira Sankardev Vidya Niketan in the karate category, Abhigyan Sandikai and Chiranjib Bordoloi won gold medals, while Rajshree Gogoi secured a silver medal.

The students' achievements have been widely appreciated in Nazira, with members of the local community expressing pride in their success.
