NDFB-S cadre killed

A NDFB-S cadre was killed in an encounter at Silaimara Tipkai under Bagribari PS early this morning in Kokrajhar. 

Getting a tip top information about presence of militants in the area, a joint team from police and 7Jat army conducted operation since late last and continued this morning around 5.20 am and a strong gun fight in between security forces and militants was held where a militant was killed.  

The slain militant was identified as Nerswn Brahma alias Naidaw, a Bangladesh trained and cadre of 40th batch of the outfit organization. He was involved with 2012 violence.

An AK-47 riffle,40 round ammunition, two mobile handsets, blanket, clothes, extortion notes, incriminating documents were recovered from him.
