The Great Khali reaches out to Assam flood victims during Sivasagar visit

NAZIRA, August 21, 2026 — WWE champion and Indian professional wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as ‘The Great Khali’, has extended support to flood-affected people in Assam during his two-day visit to Sivasagar district.

After participating in a relief-material distribution programme at Dorika Kaibarta village in Sivasagar on Thursday, Khali visited Chumani village in Nazira on Friday. The programme, organised by the True Hope Foundation and Ayan and Deeplina Deka Foundation, saw the distribution of essential items, including beds, mattresses, fans and water filters, among flood-affected families.

Khali later visited Tengahola at Bamun Pukhuri, where he joined an ongoing house-construction initiative by the two organisations for flood victims. He inaugurated a newly constructed house at the site.

He also laid the foundation stone for a proposed Hanuman temple in the area under the initiative of the True Hope Foundation and Ayan and Deeplina Deka Foundation.

Appreciating the organisations and volunteers involved in rebuilding homes for flood-affected families, Khali said, “Best wishes for this initiative to construct more than 100 houses for flood victims. May God give greater strength to all the volunteers and organisers so that they can continue serving many more people in society.”

Khali’s participation in the relief and rehabilitation programmes encouraged flood-affected families and volunteers involved in the reconstruction efforts.
