Action against non cooperator MLAs!

Amid simmering dissidence within the Congress, the ruling party leadership rolls up sleeves for action against a section of legislators who are allegedly shying away from campaigning for the party candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Reliable sources told Assam Times that a section of sitting legislators---known for dissident activities has not been cooperating the party candidates citing various reasons.

Some of them have openly revolted against the candidates. Chabua legislator Raju Sahu was not cooperating with Ranee Narah. But finally he attended the meetings organized to campaign in Doomdooma in presence of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

Sadiya MLA Balin Chetia is dead opposed to Lakhimpur candidate. Despite instruction, he was absent from the chief minister’s rally in Doomdooma on Wednesday.
