MP Sarania slammed BPF

The Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania(Hira) expressed his  optimistic that Congress will gain its party status as well to identify main culprits involved with carnage in May 1 and 2 in Kokrajhar and Baksa districts of BTAD as the BPF broke down their alliance. 

Meanwhile, former minister and BPF MLA comedown heavily on the comment of Sarania said that Sarania does not want peace among society.

Sarania,while coming to attend a meeting on Friday in Kokrajhar allegged that said the carnage at Balapara in Kokrajhar and Narayanguri in Baksa district was created by ruling BPF and Congress, as most of the BTAD violence situation was influenced in the hints BPF members,of which why Congress led government has not been initiative to control the situations. He has expressed his hopeful said that Congress government in the state can book main involved culprits with carnage and identification of the incident,as the BPF has withdrew their supports on Thursday from Congress and Congress government in a position to put strong actions in the state,he said.

Sarania has also demanded stern action and seize of illegal arms and make society free from influence of weapons.

BPF MLA Brahma slammed the MP Sarania for his allegation said that BPF members were not involved with any incidents in the region.She said her party is working building up social integration in the region.She said Sarania could not alone bring peace in the region, peace is possible through social integration among all sections of people. She urges MP Sarania to avoid baseless allegation of bias words and maintain harmony among all community.

Meanwhile, the All Koch- Rajbongshi Student Union (AKRSU) president Hiteswar Barman termed alliance broke down in between BPF and Congress is a ‘drama’ which was suggested by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

Students activists from All BTC Bengali Youth Students Federation show their protest and burnt effigy of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in protest against his recent derogatory remakrs on Hindu Bengali community in the state. Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPP president Urkhao Gwra Brahma  expressed his deep sorrow over demise of PA Sangma,former Lok Sabha Speaker and Tura Lok Sabha MP. Brahma,in his codolence message said that the country has lost a great with his(Sangma) dead.He  was one of the most prominent and influential political leader in the country,who was representing Tura Lok Sabha constituency till his death.Brahma extended deep condolence to the departed soul of PA Sangma.

The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) has extended union’s deepest condolence over the demise of former Look Sabha Speaker Purna A Sangma serving as MP Look Sabha from Meghalaya of North esatern state. KLO leader killed in Kokrajhar

A self styled deputy commander in chief of Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) was killed in an encounter with security forces at Shiljan area in Kokrajhar district today. He was identified as Dibakar Barman alias Anupal. A pistol, two grenades and live ammunition were recovered from him.  He was Myanmar military trained leader of the militant outfit organization. 

Bodoland Movement Day observed

Army distributes study materials

Army unit from Red Horns Division in association with Kokrajhar civil administration distributed furniture, school bag,study materials and sports items among students of Jharbari ME school on Wednesday at Jharbari in Kokrajhar district.  The distribution was a noble endeavour to encourage students while promoting education and sports amongst youths in the region. Humiliated budget for BTC: UG Brahma

Mission better Bodoland council MoU signed

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the Mission Better Bodoland Council in between department of Education, BTC and Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Statutory body under an Act of Parliament) to making Bodoland Territorial Council a better region in the country. The Baksa district committee of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) termed the Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU led by Phulmon Boro was illegal and invalid. Green Kokrajhar mission launches

The Kokrajhar Municipality Board launched its Swach Kokrajhar Mission & Green Kokrajhar Mission today at a function here held at Basic Training Centre in the presence of huge public and officials in Kokrajhar to make the town garbage free zone.
