BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary and his associates got the real taste of simmering anger of the displaced people when they visited a relief camp in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. As soon as Mohilary and MLA Pramila Rani Brahma landed in Saralpara relief camp in the morning the inmates hounded them alleging insufficient relief materials to those who were displaced in the time of the Adivasi bloodbath.
The Adivasi inmates alleged severe harassment by militants at regular intervals and threatened that if these activities are allowed to continued they would not accept any relief in near future. They further alleged inadequate measures by the BTAD administration to ensure their safety and security apart from ensuring sufficient relief materials.
After distributing some relief materials, the BPF boss said that the Council has been demanding sufficient materials from Dispur apart from deployment of more police pickets in the venerable areas.
