A scrap dealer lost his life in a powerful explosion in a remote BTAD district village on Sunday.
The explosion took place in the wee hours at Borjhar village in Udalguri district when the scarp dealer Ram Chandra Barman started hitting a round object with a hammer around 6.30 in the morning leading to an explosion that killed him on the spot.
He collected these scrap on Saturday evening to be processed on Sunday.
Three others, including a woman, were also injured in the incident who are battling for life in the hospital.
The bomb was believed to have been kept in the heap of scraps by unidentified miscreants. Police investigation is going on.
