Double murder at Salakati
Two persons of a family were murdered by unknown miscreants at Bumki village under Salakati police out post late Wednesday night in Kokrajhar district.
According to source,miscreants murdered a mother and her 4-years-old son with sharp weapon at their home at Bumki village late last night around 10 pm of Kokrajhar district.
Police officials rushed the spot during night and brought the bodies to Kokrajhar police station.
The bodies have been identified as Akia Bibi(24) and her son Nur Alom(4).
Police said that murder was penetrated by local neighbouring on family ground.Investigation is on into incident and culprits would be booked soon,a police officer told.

The opposition Asom Gana Parishad will hold protest rally on September 19 opposing the Centre’s move to give refugee status to the non Muslim Bangladeshi and Pakistani nationals in India.
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Saturday, party president Atul Bora said the party leaders and workers will stage sit in demonstration on September 16 in all districts.
Bora said,”we cannot bear the burden of 2 lakh Bangladeshi immigrants. We won’t allow it to happen.”
“Days are not far. Like Tripura, we the people of Assam would soon turn into minority if the Narendra Modi government at the Centre is allowed to proceed with the deal,” said the AGP president.

Bhutan police apprehended two persons along with three young girls at a Hotel at Gelephu in Bhutan on Friday, who was handed over to Kokrajhar police, who were suspected, involved with sexual cases, on Saturday.
According to Kokrajhar police, two persons hailed from Taranguri village under Kokrajhar PS visited to Gelephu along three young girls yesterday and holds at a hotel while they were apprehended on suspected situation.
The persons were identified as Dhruba Brahma and Hindustan Basumatary. Girls were minors.
Guardians of the girls lodged an FIR with police in this regard registration no.524/2016, under section (U/S) 366(A)/342/34 IPC RW.Guardians alleged that their daughters kidnapped by persons. Accused persons said that girls called us to visit at Gelephu. Police said investigation is on into case. “Investigation is on to find out detail.We have sent girls for medical test about incident”,a senior police officer said.

GUWAHATI: A special CBI court in Guwahati on Wednesday remanded Rajesh Dhawan to two days CBI custody who was arrested on Tuesday night.
An eleven member CBI team has been interrogating the principal in connection with the bribery allegations against him. He would be produced before the court on Thursday.
On Wednesday, acting on an allegation by a contractor a,CBI team laid a trap where he was found to have accepted graft caught red handed.
