Uncertainty still persist for the nine Congress MLAs who are prepared to join BJP.
According to Assam Times Political Research Bureau, neither the central leadership nor the state leadership have given them the green signal to join the party.
“They have three conditions for joining BJP. Party president Amit Shah advised them to talk to the state leadership when they met him in New Delhi recently. But they have yet take up their conditions with the state leadership. Even the state leadership have not invited them so far to discuss the conditions,” said a senior party leader in New Delhi.
Their conditions include firstly ticket for assembly polls. Secondly all of them want to be fielded in their own constituencies. But the state leadership have not discussed these conditions so far.
