Curious UFO in sky!

An unidentified object hovering around the sky in upper Assam pulled no less spell of curiosity among lakhs of people on Wednesday evening.

Much to the utter surprise and curiosity, the comet like object was spotted in the sky in and around the Naharkatiya area at around 9 in the evening forcing the people to come out of their homes to watch the strange objects. But there was no conclusion even from the experts.

The same object struck the heavy attention of the people in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday night.

 

Meanwhile, ISRO officials in Shillong told Assam Times that they were not aware of such objects in the sky. But they said if it is spotted it might be drones.

whether ISRO or NASA they will never confess that ufos are of extraterrestrial origin...i have witnessed an ufo from the front yard of my house in jorhat,assam, india on 23rd june 2015...the ufo hovered for about 40mins and finally shot off at lightning speed into the night sky..it can travel at the blink of an eye and i dont think that a drone has that technology...if drones can accelerate at lightning speed then we sud able to go for interstellar travel sitting in a drone itself..whatever i saw was nothing made on earth..nothing made om earth has technology to accelerate away and shot off at the speed of lightning

Yes. I live in dibrugarh 2days after this event i saw a ufo around 8pm while i was talking to my friend on phone suddenly i heard a loud noise and the phone's signal was lost.my frined too heard ths noise. I looked up and i saw a big ufo with purple light hovering on top of me. I quickly went inside and called my mom and sister. When they came it went away in a lighting size and became like a star but was moving very fast. My friend also saw the ufo

Needed smart villages!

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi talks of smart villages across the state with a huge Rs 25, 000 crore fund months after the Centre mulled smart cities.In his letter to the Centre, Gogoi stressed rural areas with the smart villages concept in a big way.He observed that the villagers should be allowed to avail of all the urban amenities. Faster progress is possible only with the smart villages across the country. “It's the most effective way to bridge the rural-urban divide," said Gogoi.According to him, former President APJ Abdul Kalam's concept of 'Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas' (PURA) should be taken up on a 'mission mode.

Chandel slide sends shock

Amid relief and rescue operation, NDRF jawans are pounding on Chandel on Sunday morning a day after at least 20 people died in a massive landslip on Saturday.NDRF team arrived in the remote area in Manipur bordering Myanmar after the direction from Union home minister Rajnath Singh who assured Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh of all help to contain the situation.Union minister of state for home Rijiju is scheduled to visit the landslip-hit area on Monday to take stock of the situation.At least 20 people were killed in the landslide at Zoumoal village under Khangbarol sub-division on Saturday.

NDFB-S ultras arrested in Nalbari

Security forces have arrested two hardcore NDFB-S militants amid stepped up operation to flush out militants in the run up to the Independence Day.Identified as Biliphan Basumatary and Pinku Boro from Basksa district, the duo were arrested during a combing operation in Ghagrapar. Police further claimed to have recovered  a 7 MM pistol along with a magazine and three rounds of bullets from their possession.Senior police officials have been interrogating the duo at Ghagrapar police station to extract at for more information.

NDFB-S militant held in Chirang

Amid stepped up operation to flush out militants in the run up to the Independence Day, security forces caught a hardcore NDFB-S militant In Chirang district on Saturday.Identified as Mohendra Chumpramary, the dreaded militant was arrested from Bengtol area in Chirang district during a search operation. A joint team of security forces belonging to army and police arrested him and seized a 7.65 pistol, magazine and ammunitions from his possession.

3 bodies recovered from Dihing

The recovery of three decomposed bodies from the river Dihing creates no less sensation in Naharkatiya.Local residents in Ushapur Konwargaon recovered the body of a woman along with two children floating on the river in the evening.  The bodies are yet to be identified. Local residents believed these to have belonged to Arunachal Pradesh. 

Encephalitis claims 2 more

Japanese encephalitis have claimed two more people suggesting insufficient measures to contain the killer disease.The latest strike takes place in Doomddooma area where two persons died on Saturday night.Nipul Roy from Rupai Saiding died in the evening hours after Bebi Deb lost her life in the same disease.It has forced the authorities to step up measures to contain the killer disease which has already claimed at last 95 people in the last couple of weeks.Local residents told Assam Times the massive fogging operation has yet to cover a huge areas.Event DDT has not been spread in some areas even after many people are affected in Japanese encephalitis.
