Ensure 20% bonus: CM to tea cos

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi asked the tea companies operating in the state to ensure 20 per cent puja bonus to the tea workers. In a statement, Gogoi maintained that 20 per cent bonus is due amount for all companies. He further said the tea companies, which have not decided as yet to pay 20 per cent bonus, should make their stand clear to avoid any unrest or resentment.

He also said that the State-owned Assam Tea Corporation Limited has already committed to pay 20 per cent bonus to its workers.
