Kokrajhar Press Club has also observed the National Press Day along with rest of the country here at club office premises in Kokrajhar today. 

The observation was organized by Kokrajhar Press Club in association with with BTC Information and Public Relations (IPR) department. 

Ajit Kumar Basumatary, president of the club hoisted club flag while Kishore Sarkar paid homage to journalist, who were sacrifice their lives for the caused of freedom of press and services. 

An open session was also organized on the day chaired by Ajit Basumatary, president of the club. 

Ansuma Mohilary, Kokrajhar DIPRO was prominent atttendies among others on the occasion.

Bhaskar Pradip Mahanta Memorial lecture

A memorial lecture on Bhaskar Pradip Mahanta was organized by Sanscritic Mahasabha, Assam Kokrajhar district samiti on Sunday in Kokrajhar at Basic Training Centre. Noted artiste Rabiram Brahma lighted the lamp to inaugurate the function. Kokrajhar seeks 65 company of security forces

Kokrajhar district administration has been seek 65 companies of security forces to conduct the upcoming Assam Assembly election in free and fair for three LACs in the district slated to be held on April 11 next during second phase of the election in Assam. Tribal organisation oppose ST status to six communities

Candle light by ABSU

Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Madhav Prasad Sarma laid the foundation of Children Study Hall cum Mini Digital Library at Destination Girls’ Home, Anthaigwlao Chandrapara in Kokrjahar on Friday to mark the celebration of State Child Protection Day. The All Bodo Students Union and All Assam Students Union strongly slammed the answer script of HSLC examination gutted fire in Jorhat on Friday.  Lawrence Islary, general secretary of ABSU condemned the answer script paper gutted in fire was unfortunate and unwanted for the state.
