BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

Three injured on Bear attack

A forest official was seriously injured when he was attacked by wild bear at Alu farm in Halugaon area of Kokrajhar district. According to forest official, Nilmoni Brahma, a staff of Amguri forest beat office under Gaurang Forest Range  was attacked by the bear this morning around 10 am. The bear, which strayed from near by forest area has already attacked two civilian in the last three days. Goutam Brahma and Hemanta Basumatary were  attacked by the bear on Monday evening. Girl rescued from North East express at Kokrajhar

A minor girl was rescued from the North East express train at Kokrajhar railway station here today. Getting information, members of Kokrajhar based NGO Nedan foundation and security forces belonging to Kokrajhar police and CRPF carried out a rescue operation and rescued the girl. The alleged trafficker was also nabbed.  Sources said the girl was being taken by a youth identified as Deepak Singh of Uttar Pradesh. Singh was caught and handed over to the police. TET Teachers’ continue hunger strike

At least 20-agitator teachers’ health condition  turned to deteriorated, among them seven were reffered to hospital on its second day of 72-hours long hunger strike at Rashmela ground of Lower Assam’s Kokrajhar district, started from yesterday demanding regularization of posts, payment of balance remuneration, equal remuneration and privileges with the TET teachers appointed under SSA. Rail blockade for ST, Kamatapur

The All Koch Rajbongsi Students Union(AKRSU) and Koch Rajbongsi Mahila Samiti blockade the railway today at Duramari, east of Basugaon station in Chirang district demanding early granting of  Scheduled Tribe(ST) status and reconstruction of Kamatapur state. Over 500 activists of AKRSU and samiti sat on the track with banner,placards to blockade for five hours beginning from 8.30 AM and shouted slogans demanding early solutions to the demands from the community. The All BTC Contractual TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) Teacher Association are on 72-hours long hunger strike at Rashmela ground in Kokrajhar since 10 am on Monday on their various demand and grievances. Arms supplier arrested

A joint team of army and police managed to arrest a arms supplier from Shukanjuli area under Tamulpur PS of Baksa district wee hour hour on Monday.  Getting a tiptop information, jawans of 11 Mahar regiment of army and police jointly conducted search operation since last night and able to apprehend an arms supplier, who has been involved with arms supplying to militant outfit organizations.  He was identified as Ram Tudu of No.1 Paharpur village.  Five detonator and fourteen HE 36 hand grenades were recovered from him.  'Tudu had planned to supply these grenades to militant organizations, but failed due to strong operation carried out by security forces in the region...

Adhyasradhya of Chino Basumatary performed

The Adhyasradhya of senior journalist, owner  and editor of Bodo daily newspaper ‘Bodosa’ late Chino Basumatary was performed at his Home at Bhaulaguri Kashikotra on Sunday in Chirang district. Basumatary breathed his last on December 29(2015) at a private hospital in Guwahati after prolong illness.
