Arms supplier arrested

A joint team of army and police managed to arrest a arms supplier from Shukanjuli area under Tamulpur PS of Baksa district wee hour hour on Monday. 

Getting a tiptop information, jawans of 11 Mahar regiment of army and police jointly conducted search operation since last night and able to apprehend an arms supplier, who has been involved with arms supplying to militant outfit organizations. 

He was identified as Ram Tudu of No.1 Paharpur village. 

Five detonator and fourteen HE 36 hand grenades were recovered from him. 

'Tudu had planned to supply these grenades to militant organizations, but failed due to strong operation carried out by security forces in the region', told LE Bishnoi, IGP (BTAD).

The Mwihur International Theatre Festival has ended in Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The seven-day festival took place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari. NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
