BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

Dowdini beat SAI at Kagrabari

Dowdini SC from Debargaon beat SAI Kokrajhar 4-3 via tie breaker shots in the Tikendra Brahma and Aolang Brahma memorial football trophy being played in Saturday’s match at Kagrabari ground in Kokrajhar. Both team was goal less in the match.Later, organisers conducted penalty kicks where Dowidini beat SAI 4-3 goal.Gloabal SC, Gossaigaon is taking on Bongaigaon XI Star on Sunday.

No more gambling: ABSU

The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) of Kokrajhar dsitrict unit submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner, Kokrajhar & superintendent of police demanding prohibiting organising of gambling and etc. at various melas during puja occasions in Kokrajhar  disrict.It was in a statement by Premjit Narzary and Nion Mushahry,secretary of the ABSU  Kokrajhar district unit. Pramila condemns Khattar's beef remark

Former Assam Minister and prominent Bodoland People's Front (BPF) MLA Pramila Rani Brahma strongly reacted Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar's remarks on beef eating as "unfortunate and condemnable".Brahma, while talking exclusively to Assam Times has termed remarks from a responsible CM of a state of secular country is condemnable and unwanted in today's era. She said that remarks from Khattar was not suited for the citizens of the country as India is a secular nation. She has urged all sections of the communities to maintain peace and unity so that harmony can't be affected in the region. Brahma has also wished the people a happy Durga Puja.

Ushering of Agriculture in BTC

An interactive session with central SFAC from New Delhi was held at BTC secretariat, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar on Saturday. Manas opens up for tourists

 The Manas National Park opens up for tourists on Saturday. Bodoland Territorial Council Deputy Chief Executive Khampha Borgoyari opened the national park at a brief function at the Second Gate of Bahbari Range in the morning.More than 100 foreign tourists along with many other visitors were present in the function who later toured the national park which has been remaining closed the during monsoon season. It opens a bit earlier than the previous years.

Beefed up security in Kokrajhar

Security tightens in Kokrajhar district in the run up to the Durga puja celebrations which begins from Monday.Talking to reporters in Kokrajhar on Friday, SP Shyamal Prasad Saikia, said that police started gearing up checking of vehicles to thwart any attempt to disrupt the festival. He has policemen are on alert to deal with the anti-social activities like kidnapping, extortion, demands from the trader, employees and citizens from anti-social doers.He said that CCTVs would be installed in puja pandals to closely monitor the movement of people.

Rising SC from Tinali beat Jaiklong SC from Banargaon 4-2 in the Tikendra Brahma and Aolang Brahma memorial football trophy being played in Friday’s match at Kagrabari ground in Kokrajhar.For Rising, Bipul Roy scored first goal in 40 minutes and led the team 1-0 in the first half.For Jaiklong, Tomash Brahma scored two goals in 53 minutes and 53 minutes against rising in the second half. Bipul Roy netted another goal in 74 minutes,Biron Brahma and Mongal Soren scored one each goal in 71 minutes and 76 minutes respectively in the second half and defeated  Rising 4-2. ASEB lift Daoharu Mungklong trophy

Assam State Electricity Board(ASEB) from Guwahati defeated Bardwi Shikla SC from Kachugaon 1-0 and lifted the Daoharu Mungklong Trophy in Friday’s final match at the Dotma ground in Kokrajhar.For ASEB, Sanjoy Boro netted lone goal in 16 minutes and led the team 1-0 in the first half.Bardwi Shikla tried to equalised the match during the match.
