BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

Adivasi Mahasabha underway

Five MTFA ultras held

Security forces have claimed to captured five militants belonging to Muslim Tiger Force of Assam(MTFA) from Guwabari area in Kokrajhar district on Saturday. Identified as Aminur Islam, Nijam Ali, Anirudin Mondol, Najir Hussain and  Nur Hussain- all residents of Kamalsingh Kurshakati village under Gossaigaon subdivision were caught during a combing operation.  Police further seized 5 country made rifles, 10 rounds live ammunition of 7.62 mm pistol and other objectionable documents were recovered from them. 

Tejaswee opens in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar on Saturday vows to prevent anemia along with other parts of the state with a mission. Adivasi session begins in Kokrajhar

Over 1000 delegates from various district of Assam thronged Kokrajhar to attend the 12th Adivasi Mahasabha which got underway on Friday. Organised by the All Adivasi Students Association of Assam, the event got off to a colourful start at Magurmari High School ground in Kokrajhar.Former minister Pramila Rani Brahma attended the first session and welcomed the delegates. NDFB-S ultra arrested

Security forces caught a hardcore NDFB-S militant during an operation in Kokrajhar on Friday. Identified as Gendra Basumatary alias Galore, he was apprehended from Bismuri Galabari area in Kokrajhar district in a joint operation by army and police. One 7.62 mm pistol and two live ammunition of 7.62 mm pistol were recovered from him.

Kokrajhar also observed the birth anniversary of Mahandas Karamchand Gandhi along with the rest of the country on Friday. There has been steep decline in the insurgent activities in the BTAD areas if Dr RL Bishnoi is to be believed.
