NDFB-S cadre held

Security forces belonging to Assam Police and Army arrested, at a join operation arrested a cadre of NDFB-S from Patabari area under Runikhata PS in Chirang district on Wednesday . The cadre was identified as Swmkhwr Kaklary alias K Saiklom. An Insus riffle, magazine and 60 live rounds recovered from  him.

Three persons of a family murdered in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar:  Sensation prevailed along the Mukhigaon area in Kokrajhar district after three member of a family was murdered by unidentified miscreants late night at Mukhigaon village. Police has started investigation into murder case. However, no one was made arrested so far. Cattle smugglers held in Kokrajhar

Police in Kokrajhar have apprehended four cattle smugglers from two different places in Kokrajhar disrict on Thursday and seized several cattles. Police apprehended two cattle smugglers from Tulsibil under Gossaigaon police station and seized eight numbers of cattle from their houses.They were identified as Saheb Ali and Nayeb Ali of Rupsi village under Tulsibil police outpost. Pangolin rescued in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: A Pangolin (Banrow) was rescued at Bhotgaon this afternoon in Kokrajhar today. People from the greater Bhotgaon area thronged in large number to see the Pangolin, a rare species found in Chakrashila wildlife in Kokrajhar. KLO cadre held

Kokrajhar: A cadre of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) was  apprehended by security forces at Serfanguri in Kokrajhar disrict last night. A joint team of Assam Police and Indian army carried out a search operation against the militant outfit organisation at the Serfanguri area in Kokrajhar disrict late evening and able to apprehend a KLO cadre along with arms.
