Police apprehended a suspected over ground worker/sympathizer of NDFB-S identified as Paulina Basumatary 22, wife of a NDFB-S cadre Compounder alias Khaose from No 1 Nandipur village under Kachugaon police station in Kokrajhar district .

Police said Rs 15,000 (extorted from Audung Bazar area) have been recovered from her possession which was supposed to be handed over to NDB-S cadre.

She was working as a channel of communication between the NDFB-S cadres and over ground worker in that area through her husband. She has been playing a very important role in siphoning off extortion money to the outfit in Myanmar through the OGWs/sympathisers.

Prayer and healing conference begins

A four-day prayer and healing festival, 2017 is underway at Titaguri Bhawanipur ground in Kokrajhar district. NDFB-S rebel killed in Chirang

KOKRAJHAR:The security forces deployed in the counter insurgency operation in BTAD areas claimed to have eliminated yet anotherNDFB-S rebel in Chirang on Monday. According to what the authority says the rebel was killed at an encounter which took place in Shantipur near Runikhata bordering Bhutan. The rebel has yet to be identified and some arms and ammunition were believed to have been seized from his possession.

GB FC lift martyrs gold cup

Gabinda Basumatary (GB) FC, Zaraguri won the Bodoland martyrs gold cup football championship -2017 defeating NFR, Maligaon by 1-0 goal in the final match today being held at KDSA stadium ground in Kokrajhar. BTC to rehabilitate for Amchang settlers

'BTC administration is preparing to rehabilitatein Bodoland those evicted settlers in Amchang  if Chief Minister gives his consent. Talking to reporters, BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary said the eviction in the Amchang wild life sanctuary was conducted under strict guide lines of law. It was duty of the government to evict illegally settlers along the Amchang forest. Bengali Youth Students Federation stage dharna

BTC Bengali Youth Student’s Federation staged a 2.30 hour sit-in-dharna in front of DC office in Kokrajhar on Monday demanding steps yo stop of excess on the Hindu Bengali community in the name of D-voter issue.
