Mohilary urges armed organizations to shun violence

BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary hoisted the national tricolour flag at Govt HS & MP school play ground in Kokrajhar while attending as chief guest on the occasion of Republic Day along with rest of the state in the presence of huge gathering on Thursday. The Republic Day celebration was organised by Kokrajhar district administration in a befiting manner. Mohilary took guard of honour presented by contingents of Assam Police battalions,scout and guides,school children from different schools of the district. Personalities in different field,including award winners were also felicitated. A multi-cultural demonstration was also presented on the occasion. Mohilary, in his Repblic Day address on the occasion recalled contributions of patriots and martyrs who were dedicated bold to the building of Republic nation in the world. He said that BTC administration was working to the all round development of the region. He said peace and unity is the way to bring development and gaining of social uplift in the state.

He has urged various armed militant organizations of the state,which included NDFB-S,ULFA(I),KLO to shun violence and come to the main stream leaving arms struggled in the state. He said that government has been working for all round welfare and uplift of the common peoples among all sections of the communities.

‘Formation of model BTC would be implemented in the region by taking more new steps’, Mohilary said. A Cancer hospital in Kokrajhar would be founded by 2018 next, medical College in Kokrajhar is going to be implemented,Bodoland University campus would be founded in Baksa and Udalguri district by 2018 next,Mohilary said.

‘We have put demand to the government to create more three new districts in BTAD, which included Gossaigaon, Bhergaon,Tamulpur,besides new subdivisions-Dotma,Dimakuchi to gain more developmental aspects’.

He said BTC administration has been initiating to establish international trade centre at Dadgiri along Indo-Bhutan in Chirang district,foundation would be within 2017 year through which both India and Bhutan countries could be gained in healthy manner. He has also demanded Rs.5 lakhs grants and aid each of to the martyrs family of Bodoland agitation in the line of Assam agitation.

On the ensuing Panchayat elections in the state,Mohilary said that allinace parties would be contesting in united manner in the sate. ‘It is alliance government(BJP-AGP-BPF) in the state,so contesting would be held in united’,Mohilary said.

BTC executve members Rajib Brahma,Doneswar Goyary,Dr LR Bishnoi,ADGP(BTAD),Bibekananda Choudhury,Rajen Singh,SP,Prof Hemanta Kumar Baruah,Vice-Chancelore of Bodoland Univerisity were prominent attendees on the occasion.
