SSB organizes Civic Action Programme

The 37 Bn SSB, Mangaldoi deployed at Indo-Bhutan Border area of Udalguri recently organized a medical and veterinary Civic Action (MCA/VCA) programme at Subash Boro High School, Tankibasti under BOP Tankibasti, near Dimakuchi. In the day-long programme, Dr.D C Boro, from Udalguri Civil Hospital and Dr. S Basumatary, GDMO of Composite Hospital, SSB Salonibari and Dr Sudhir Sangma, AC (Vet) of 37th BN SSB provided free medical checkup and medicines to the needy villagers and their livestock in the bordering area.

A large number of villagers turned up to attend the camp and it was appreciated by one and all. A total of 184 patients were given free medical prescription and medicines and 521 livestock were checked up by veterinary officer for treatment and given medicines. The village folks were also tipped for keeping their livestock healthy and profitable. During the occasion, prominent personnel and village headmens from nearby villages were also present.
