Police have been interrogating two persons from Hojai suspecting their role in the sensational robbery in Guwahati on Tuesday where gold ornaments worth Rs 21 crore have been looted at gunpoint from MP Jwellary.

According to the eyewitnesses, a gang of four robbers armed with sophisticated weapons' started blankfiring as soon as they arrived in the MP Jwellery premises in the GS Road at 7 in the evening.
As the robbers outside the shop started blank firing to terrorize the people, three others forcibly went inside and took away all diamond, gold and silver ornaments within five minutes in full view of the employees and customers who were forced to sit quietly.
