Hagrama’s concern over conviction of DHD leaders
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary expressed concern over conviction of DHD leaders by NIA on Monday. He said that the government should rethink over the judgement while addressing BPF's CWC meet at in Kokrajhar to discuss on party affairs.
Mohilary expressed serious concern over NIA conviction of DHD leaders like Jowel Garlosa, Niranjan Hojai, Mohit Hojai who are going under NIA cases even though they had signed accord with government . He has urged the government to rethink over the conviction of DHD leaders in the NIA court.
‘As DHD leaders had signed accord with government, but today’s conviction judgement was a matter of concern. Government should have exempted them (DHD leaders) from the cases’, Mohilary said.
The BPF has decided to contest in the upcoming panchayat election with new strategies. BPF minority cell was formed with Allaudin Sheik (Mushalpur) as president and Sultan Alom (Kokrajhar) as secretary to run the party in smooth and discipline. Kokrajhar: As many as three hardcore cadres of the NDFB- Saoraigwra faction were apprehended by Kerala police in Ernakulam on Thursday morning. Kokrajhar: Mohmedan Sporting Club, Kolkata defeated Oil Sports Club, Duliajan 4-3 via penalty kick to lift the trophy in the final match of the19th edition of the Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup football championship-2018 held at KDSA stadium on Sunday evening. Eminent linguist, folklorist and scholar of Assam Dr Pramod Chandra Bhattacharya breathed his last on Monday. He was 93. Dr Bhattacharya had contributes a lot toward uplift and development of the Bodo language. He had done his Ph D on Bodo language and culture. He was a prolific writer and actively associated with literary bodies of the state.
