Eminent linguist, folklorist and scholar of Assam Dr Pramod Chandra Bhattacharya breathed his last on Monday. He was 93.
Dr Bhattacharya had contributes a lot toward uplift and development of the Bodo language. He had done his Ph D on Bodo language and culture. He was a prolific writer and actively associated with literary bodies of the state.
Various organisations including All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, former Rajya Sabha MP UG Brahma have expressed condolence on the demise of Dr Pramad Bhattacharya.
