Tangkhul talents shining in Ukhrul

Come Saturday. The Multi Purpose Hall in Ukhrul is all set to keep shining with Tangkhul music talents who will join the musical extravaganza. Courtesy Tangkhul Music Forum (TMF-Ensouling the tune).

 inister Th. Biswajit, Public Works, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Information & Public Relations, Administrative Reforms, Commerce & Industries, wll  attend  the "1st Tangkhul Singers' Get-together.

K. Dickson, Chairman ADC, Ukhrul will attend the function as Guest of Honor, while Special Guests will be DIG 27 Sector, CO 10 AR, DC Ukhrul, SP Ukhrul and presidents of TNL, TNWL, TNML, TSL, TKS, headmen of Hunphun and Hungpung villages, Araang League, NGO's, PARS, HKL and THYSO.

To be held under the theme 'Amalgamation' from 6 pm onward, the upcoming event is intended to provide a common platform for the local singers, with the hope that the same will help local singers /music professionals come together in developing the local music industry.

As a way of opening door to public support and cooperation for TMF, we are going to give free entry to the public for the upcoming musical event.

It is the earnest appeal of TMF to all lovers of music to come and support the show as we amalgamate and promote artists.

TMF, the apex forum for music professionals of the district, represents all the artist singers and musicians inclusive of both secular and gospel singers. The vision of the forum is to promote and consolidate the position of local music industry, keeping in view the growing number of fantastic singers. TMF is of the belief that it is better late than never to take a first step toward the goal.

Ukhrul ADC appeals for Centre intervention to end present crisis

Reiterating its serious concern over the grim situation in the state, the Ukhrul Autonomous District Council has appealed to the Centre for speedy intervention to end the deepening crisis in the backdrop of the Manipur government creating seven new districts and the ongoing indefinite economic blockade imposed by the United Naga Council on national highways. Khamlang Primary School in deplorable condition
