In a sentimental address Patowary stressed that the AGP have no high command than the people of Assam and their verdict will be considered as the ultimate decision by the party. Concluding his speech Patowary strongly evoke the people of Assam to stands together in order to resist the Congress(I) and usher in a new era of regional politics. The meeting took a momentous turn when Mr. Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, the most influential figure of regional politics joined hand with the new united AGP and his home coming was loudly cheered by everybody present at the gathering. The rally also witnessed the second coming of former heavy weights of AGP like Atul Bora, Pulokesh Baruah, Rekha Rani Das Boro, Biraj Sarma, Gunin Hazarika etc.
