Senior scribe passes away

Guwahati: City based senior scribe Simanta Bhagawati, who was associated with The Assam Tribune, passed away this (Saturday 21 April) morning. A popular media columnist and also fond of tennis, Simanta faced a massive stroke two days back while he was playing in a city court.

His cremation is scheduled to take place this afternoon. Prior to it, the employees of The Assam Tribune and members of Guwahati Press Club will play last tributes to him.
