NDFB designated camp cordoned off in Darrang

After being confirmed that NDFB was involved in the recent serial blast in Assam, security forces have been cordoning off an NDFB designated camp in Darrang district since Monday.

According to information, it is being done by the police and army to prevent any movement of the cadres who have been in the designate camp. The camps has come under the scanner after a tip off that the ultras, who were involved in the serial blasts, could be hiding there.

The camp in Udalguri is kept under watch and is being cordoned off since Monday. There were reports that the cadres of the Bodo militant outfit have been indulging in acts of violation of the ground rules of the ceasefire agreement with the government. Meanwhile, the recent Unified Command structure meeting discussed the issue and issued instruction to the district police to strictly enforce ground rules of ceasefire.

On the other hand, security forces recovered and later defused a powerful bomb hidden inside a bicycle at the Mazbat weekly market on Tuesday.
It may be noted that the Assam government has claimed with evidence that the serial blast was a handiwork of ULFA and the brain behind it is Ranjan Daimary now in Bangladesh.
