The AGP unification process hits yet another roadblock with the party finding it difficult to comply with the terms and conditions of its breakaway group AGP(P).
The differences cropped up when the unification panel members a few AGP(P) leaders in Dispur which failed to resolve it.
The first one problem came up when AGP included members of PLP and TGP in the steering committee forcing the AGP(P) members to protest their non-inclusion. Prafulla Kr Mahanta-led AGP (P) has demanded 35 members in the central executive, 7 members in steering committee, 15 members in every district committee and also in Mahila Parishad and Yuva Parishad.
The new demand put AGP in a fix and it forced the party leaders to meet again in the party headquarters Notably, the main opposition party has already included members of PLP and TGP in the steering committee.
