Teacher recruitment based solely on marks: While high marks ensure merit on paper, Hussain argues that it doesn't guarantee commitment to teaching.

Poor quality of education: Despite qualified teachers on paper, the overall educational outcomes remain unsatisfactory. Hussain highlights a troubling trend: many teachers are unwilling to enroll their own children in the institutions where they teach.

Societal indifference: Hussain criticizes society's lack of responsibility in guiding children's aspirations. He emphasizes that mere slogans cannot improve education.

Hussain, a veteran of Assam's media landscape, believes a collaborative effort is crucial. He urges all stakeholders – government, educators, and society – to work together.
