On the other hand congress allies BPF retaliated with several big election rallies in 8 Mangaldai HPC on the same day on April 17.Party chief Hagrama Mahilary,state agriculture minister Pramila Rani Brahma etc.addressed several largely attended election rallies in Darrang and Udalguri districts.At a well attended rally at Kalaigaon town on April 17; BPF leader and state agriculture minister Pramila Rani Brahma hit hard at congress, AGP, BJP and AUDF.She said that BPF had already done enough works even in the non BTAD areas of Assam.According to her BPF would prove to be the strongest regional political party in North East. Maheswar Baro, MLA,Kalaigaon also criticized congress and BJP.He said that BPF had done more in non BTAD areas than congress.He said that BPF MP (RS) Biswajit Daimari had donated an amount of Rs.30 lakhs from his LAD fund for the completion of Mangaldai stadium,which fell outside BTAD areas.He also said that PHE minister Rihan Daimari had also sanctioned another 1 crore rupee water supply scheme at Mangaldai college Several district level workers of BJP,AGP and AYJCP formally joined BPF in the rally headed by Jiten Kalita ,president Udalguri district BJP youth wing.
According to the latest seen election activities, Mangaldai HPC is likely to witness a close contest between Madhab Rajbangshi of congress and Dina Nath Das of BPF.leaving behind BJP and AUDF.
