BOKAKHAT: Union surface transport minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday claimed to taken up the biggest one package for the north eastern region after the Independence. Addressing a Press conference in Kaziranga in the morning, Gadkari flanked by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced Rs 2.5 lakh crore to uplift the road communication network in Assam. He said the Centre has already cleared the decks to construct 35,000 km road in the state in 2018. This is in addition to the proposal for five more bridges over the river Brahmaputra.
