Majarbhuyan won’t come

Its confirm. An AIUDF legislator won’t be able to vote in the Rajya Sabha polls on Friday.

Ataur Rahman Majarbhuyan himself confirmed it a few hours before the poll setting at rest all the speculations both in the ruling and Opposition camp.

The legislator in question is arriving in Guwahati only after the polling on Friday. It’s a huge setback for Haidor Hussain. The Opposition consensus candidate was sure of his arrival till Thursday morning. But only to be disappointed in the evening.

What is more disquieting is that two other AIUDF legislators are likely to follow the suit. Congress and BPF are upbeat over the entire development.

Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday told reporters that the picture would be clear by Thursday which took place.
