CBI probe into Farid case

The Nagaland government has recommended CBI probe into the mob lynching of Sayeed Farid Khan.

The government has written to the country’s premier investigation agency seeking a thorough probe into the bizarre incident where  rape accused who hails from Assam was lynched by a violent mob on the street after being dragged out of the Dimapur Central Jail on March 25.

Police have caught over 30 goons in this connection apart from disciplinary action against the jail authority.

Various parties and organizations have called it a conspiracy against the non Naga people in Dimapur.
