Cleaning work of locality held at Jhanji

A social work program was held on September 19 at Jhanji, Teok near west end of the Jhanji bridge organized by Jhanji Suramoni village defense party (VDP) a well other organization in the area where more than two hundreds of people participated. The day-long program was inaugurated by Lalit Bora, O.C. of Teok police station and the opening function was held with the chairperson Md. Ali President of the organization and ex. head master of Bamunpukhuri High School. Nirola Kolita, president of the Bamunphukhuri Goan Ponchaiyat (GP), L. Saikia, circle officer of Teok Police station VDP unit and a number of distinguished people were present at the event. Participants of the event cleaned a big area as a prevention of various diseases like malarias, dengue etc. The president and Member Secretary of the organization gave thanks to all for grand succeed of the program.

A dead body was found at Jhanji Phulpani Chiga near 37 NH under Gaurisagar police station on September 23 morning. The body was identified as Pranab Borgohai (40) residence at Maju Malia gaon near Phulpani Chiga. The dead body was found in a pond. The deceased had been missing from for the last three days. There were no any external spots in the dead body and the police suspect the incident took place due to sudden accident. The person was unemployed and the third son of Juga Borgohain of Maju Malia gaon near Phulpani Chiga. The local people demanded the police officials for proper investigation of the matter. Gaurisagar police registered a case on this incident.
