I remember the first time I met Mahadeb sir. I had joined a gym for the first time in my life, and by sheer luck, he happened to be my coach. On my first day, it was he who saw me crash on my chest after 2 pushups, I was that weak. But then he worked his magic, and in 6 - 8 months, I was working out with significantly heavier weights each time, culminating in a point where, though I would not have qualified for any tournament, I was as fit as an athlete. So here's a big thank you to Mr. Mahadeb Deka. We'll always be proud of you, sir :)

“The youth of North East India would immensely benefit by the initiative in having captive manufacturing ecosystem and job creation possibilities,” said Prof. Mavely.

Veteran educationist Fr.Mavely assured, “The unique socio-economic setup of the region is highly conducive to a robust electronics manufacturing ecosystem, like other South East Asian electronics manufacturing hubs like Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.”

He added, “With the GoI's ‘Net Zero Import’ of electronics hardware by 2020 nearing, the region's contribution would be a small yet significant contribution to the nation's endeavour on self reliance.”

The Center of Excellence (CoE) would be a flagship center for innovation, micro-entrepreneur development, rural technology innovation & implements, advisory, consulting and skill development in the areas of Electronics components & hardwares, Nano-Electronics, Sports and Bio-Mechanics.

Gogoi blames BJP govt for NRC delay

17 Nov 2017 - 6:15pm | AT News

GUWAHATI: Former chief minister Tarun Gogoi strongly criticised the government for the move to delay in the publication of the NRC since the government does not want it.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Friday, Gogoi said the Centre's affidavit before the Supreme Court, beyond doubt, has once again proved thr government's utter reluctance.

"NRC will mark an to BJP's politics on religion. This is simply the reason why NRC is delayed," said Gogoi adding that he was emotionally attached to NRC.

He said,'I brought up ig as I was the chief minister. It gradually grew up. But Sarbanabda Sonowal has not been properly taking care of it."

On the question of the controversy surrounding Ashad Madani, the former chief minister said he would not endorse any communal statement. " Not only Madani. Be it Prabin Bhai Togaria, Shiladitya. I am dead opposed to it."
