Huge crowd to attend Sonia rally

In major boost for poll bond Ranee Narah, Congress president Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to hold a huge rally in Lakhimpur on Sunday.

The ruling party has ferried around 20,000 people to the rally hiring various buses and other four wheeler vehicles from early in the morning.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita are also scheduled to attend the rally to campaign for the Union minister for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The Congress president is scheduled to land at the Lilabari Airport at around 11-30 in the morning. Then she would straightly leave for the rally by a chopper.  

The polling in Lakhimpur will take place on April 7 along with Jorhar, Tezpur, Koliabor and Dibrugarh.
