A least ten KMSS activists sustained injury when police sprang upon them for trying to disrupt chief minister’s poll rally in Majuli on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the Kamalabari area when Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was addressing a rally to campaign for Ranee Narah who is contesting from Lakhimpur.
All of a sudden, over one hundred KMSS activists started showing black flags to the chief minister. Some others shouted slogans against Gogoi.
Security forces deployed there resorted to lathicharge to disperse the protesters where at least ten protesters sustained injury.
