Himanta left red-faced at AMCH

CID will probe the Sarita Toshniwal murder cases in AMCH. This was what Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Sunday when the health minister visited the state’s first medical college three days after it was rocked by the sensational incident.

The health minister further assured the agitating doctors of measures to address their grievances where the principal will have to face stern action in a day or two.

Dr Sarma had to face the wrath of the agitating doctors as he landed at the AMCH premises three days after a wardboy killed a doctor on duty. The health minister had hardly any option before him when he had to face the criticism from the striking doctors.

The doctors charged the AMCH principal Dr AK Adhikary with not taking up the issues seriously.

Dr Sarma had to assure the doctors and students of an immediate action against Dr Adhikary who did not arrived in the college within 48 hours of the incident.
