Freshmen social postponed

A freshmen social was scheduled to be held on Friday, August 22 at the Mazbat College in Udalguri district of the BTAD.

In an emergent meeting held with the college authorities, the secretary of the ABSU Mazbat College Unit, Swmdwn Basumatary postponed the event due to the 24-hour Assam Bandh called by the Songbijit faction of the NDFB.

A final date shall be announced and made public in a day or two he said.

Police Thursday killed 6 NDFB men following an encounter at Daimuguri under Runikhata P.S. in Chirang District and another at Kokrajhar District of the BTAD.
