Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar is arriving in Kaziranga on Thursday a week after the damaging flood waves in the world heritage site.
During his two days visit, the Union Minister will take stock of the conservation arrangements in the national park.
He is expected to talk to the local people and meet representatives of organisations working in the area to assess the monitoring measures.
A task force was being set up and modalities would be finalised in consultation with the State Forest Department officials.
