Voting concludes; eyes fixed on Sep 16

Amid tight security, polling passed off peacefully in Jamunamukh where 165,718 voters have sealed the fate of five candidates in the electronic voting machines on Saturday.

The polling percentage is a huge 70. But the poll panel has yet to officially announce the turn out. There is no report of any untoward incident during this period.

AIUDF has fielded Abdur Rahim Ajmal, son of AIUDF chief Badaruddin Ajmal.

Congress has put up Bashiruddin Laskar while the BJP has nominated Bilal Uddin for the by-polls.
