Steps to unseat Pranab Gogoi!

Dissidence within the Congress legislative body is yet to be over if one goes by the ongoing state of affairs. This time the man at the centre stage of controversy is Pranab Gogoi.

Sources told Assam Times that chief minister Tarun Gogoi is trying his level best to unseat the assembly speaker.

Immediately after hearing the undercurrent development the Speaker arrived in New Delhi to get wind of the real story behind the move to unseat him.

Gogoi, who has been camping in the capital is scheduled to meet party high command on Monday. During his sudden trip, Gogoi is likely to meet Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi along with other senior leaders.

The chief minister and Speaker have been at loggerheads on many issues for the last couple of months. The Speaker was alleged to have been doing dissidence against the chief minister which he has already denied.

Last year, the chief minister was seeking legal opinion to unseat Pranab Gogoi as Speaker. But when it came to light the chief minister’s camp maintained a stoic silence and kept waiting and watching.
